What I am focusing on right now

The three things that interest me: marks, people, and simplicity I start with a subject, usually a person or people, and then I think of how it is interesting to me. Next I try to find how I can make it interesting to other viewers. With this in mind I consider what method and materials I want to use, since I am interested in the mark and that seems to be what comes naturally to me, that is the easy part. Then comes the connection, considering composition, size, materials etc. I research artists both known and unknown, and I ask for suggestions from others on who I should look at that will add to my process.
I usually start with and image, I draw that image. I take from it the qualities that I am drawn most too, whether it is the features or the patterns etc and then I focus on them from the drawing I make mini sketches/paintings. from any idea I work it towards painting and drawings sometimes together and sometimes separately. I seek opinions from others but I will continue to work on it until I am satisfied with the piece myself.
right now I am interested in making the audience apart of the work in a different way, instead of being the viewer, the audience will be the follower, seeing from behind. The subjects will have to do with symbolism and also emphasize on certain things that aren't paid attention to at first sight, like the contours in the back of a shirt, or the skin of weeds in the crack of a side walk.
