The first picture is a drawing in which I was experimenting with using pastel and graphite to accentuate a mark made by latex. I wanted to wrap around the shape to see the contrast I could get without losing the marks within the blue shape. The middle and last photo are works of Johnathon Lasker, who I've been looking at for shapes and layering techniques. His combination of forcibly controlled brushwork with looser marks is something I really enjoy.
