Laurie Simmons explores the life-like quality of a high end sex toy in her series 'The Love Doll'. The doll goes through a variety of normal daily activities and seemingly a range of emotions, as well. The series stands out because of the peculiar feeling of life in the doll, which brings up objectification and the "use" of a woman which is represented by the doll.
